We’re delighted to report that we have recently received generous donations to support our youth programmes for the coming Season. Long standing supporters of Boleh’s charitable work, Trinity House and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, have each provided funding for our young sailors. In the case of the RN&RMC, the monies will be used for the benefit of Naval and Royal Marine families as part of our popular ‘Pompey’s Military Kids’ programme.
Trinity House funding will support more general youth programmes such as Boleh’s deployment to Portland where she will work with the Chesil Sailing Trust and Dorset schools. The Boleh Trust is extremely grateful for the continuing generosity of these major funding institutions which enable us to bring Boleh’s ‘can-do’ experience to challenged young people. As one teacher remarked recently “I think the trip showed students they can aspire to do anything if they wish to.”
