More than 650 craft and 100,300 visitors attended the recent Southampton International Boat Show, opened by Princess Anne and held in bright sunshine. We’re thrilled to report that well over 600 of these visitors stepped aboard Boleh. With guard wires lowered, flags and bunting flying and information banners rigged, Boleh made a welcoming sight.
Our hosts were able to spread Boleh’s ‘can do’ message to a wide variety of people with impressive numbers showing a focussed interest, donating or volunteering to get involved. Among our guests were relatives of those who served and sailed with Robin Kilroy, film makers, Boat Building Academy graduates, Marine Press reporters, Service personnel, Youth Leaders, Charity Trustees, Skippers, Mates, Marine Engineers . . . . . and Pirates!
Our thanks to Nigel, Craig and all our volunteers who made Boleh’s Boat Show appearance such a success. They did a superb job, boosting Boleh’s profile, generating invaluable leads, raising some additional funds, and encouraging potential new customers and commercial charterers. Boleh herself can be proud that she even featured in the official post Boat Show Press release – pictured with Barrister and TV Personality Rob Rinder!
