Over the last 3 weeks Boleh has been deployed along the South Coast, supporting the Summer Camp of the Devon Army Cadet Force. A mixture of day sails and week long cruises, largely in good weather, has produced some fantastic sailing.  Boleh’s crews over the period – Lead Skipper Richard Metcalfe, Ops Director Craig Coupe, and Volunteers Charlie King, Jonathan Clare, Geoff Higginbottom, and Miesje Chefre – have delivered a varied and exciting sailing programme for the Cadets.  All this made possible by the dedication of our support team and funders’ generosity – thank you.

As well as seamanship instruction, the Boleh experience for one group of Cadets on passage to Portland this year included: meal planning and shopping, visiting Yarmouth, swimming in Studland Bay, a wonderful evening in Poole with a magnificent Superyacht tour, anchoring in Lulworth Cove and sleeping on deck under the stars. Craig summed up his time in charge: “The Cadets embraced every day, were focused and willing to learn, allowing them to pass their RYA Competent Crew course – all in all, a cracking week.”  Picture shows Cadets at play in Studland Bay!
