Boleh recently hosted enthusiastic Service schoolchildren from across the Portsmouth area on our popular Pompey’s Military Kids (PMK) programme. PMK brings these children together, encouraging them to interact, make new friends and support each other. Sailing Boleh is the ideal environment in which to experience this. Claire Weeks, Priory School commented “What the Trust offers is literally inspirational for these kids, it opens their eyes to the world and shows them anything is possible. They were literally buzzing and will be for years!”

Skipper Craig and volunteer Mate Meisje praised the children’s’ commitment as they enjoyed Boleh’s ‘Can-do’ experience “They cracked on, got involved and make the most of their day.” Reactions from Springwood Primary children included: “I was nervous at first but loved every minute” and “I loved hearing the story behind the boat.” Mandy O’Mahony, Wimborne Primary was clear that “The children had an amazing time and each amd every one of them felt valued both as individuals and as part of a team.”

Our thanks to the RN&RM Charity and to all those helping us deliver this important programme. We look forward to welcoming more Military Kids in 2025.
