The past Season has increased the scope of Boleh’s ‘Can do’ offering. We are delighted to report that we are now authorised to offer training under the RYA Yachtmaster scheme up to the levels of Competent Crew and Watch Leader. In August we issued our first Competent Crew certificates to 4 Cadets from the Devon Army Cadet Force who completed the course during their ‘Summer Camp’ onboard Boleh.
This development by the Boleh Trust is built on our longstanding membership of the Association of Sail Training Organisations and our affiliation to the Royal Yachting Association. Helped by the increasing number of our volunteer Skippers who are qualified as RYA Instructors, we can now encourage our adult and youth crews to develop their sailing skills – and then proudly send them home from Boleh with respected RYA certificates. Well done our first 4 trainees!
