We are proud to say that for the fourth year running Boleh featured at the REYC May Rally, hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club. Skippered by former Sapper Officer, Bruce and with RNSA member, David as Mate and Army Reservist, Ant in the crew, the Boleh team had a distinctly military flavour for the event. Tide and wind conspired against Boleh’s passage to and from Lymington but, for once, the weather heralded the onset of Summer.
On completion of racing, the Boleh crew hoisted the ‘Gin Pennant’ for returning crews and then joined the Sappers for dinner in the RLYC clubhouse. We value this connection with the Royal Engineers stretching back over 60 years. Displayed in Boleh’s saloon is the cap badge donated by her RE skipper from the period when Boleh was training vessel for Sapper apprentices at Dover. We are very grateful to the REYC for inviting us to the Meet, and to the RLYC for hosting this event.
